I'm very very sketched out about the SST transmission I heard you can tune it so it doesnt give out on me.. because I am buying it USED @ 37k miles. What are sure-fire ways to protect my tranny =[ . I love this car but I don't want to blow 10k replacing the tranny...

 

If it goes and warranty's done, you can get it rebuilt by Jacks Transmissions for 2K.
Otherwise, your car is still pretty new, just get the SST fluid replaced if it hasn't been done by the previous owner yet and you're all good.

 

Ya just keep on top of fluid/filter changes and you should be okay. I've got 105k km's (or 65k miles) on mine and it still shifts great.

Also if you can, try to find out how the other owner handled maintenance.
