NO. It will not mate to the regular lancer motor

Yes if you put an EVO or Ralliart Engine & Turbo. But lots of work

Not very safe. The CVT is a very reliable transmission. More reliable than a regular Automatic transmission. However, The CVT design doesnt handle heat very well. So if you in an already hot climate you must make sure you run a better CVT fluid. Because if your driving it hard or aggressive.

Getting to your immediate question. Mitsubishi goes out of their way to tell you "DO NOT TOW" with your car. The cvt's TQ converter doesnt handle towing conditions because of its lock up / engagement. Burn outs are going to be the same. Dropping it into gear from neutral will not be good, not holding the brakes and gas at the same time. Its not good for the cvt at all.

I would recommend against it. Sorry

I tried to get mine to do a burnout once. The CVT must've recognized that I had the brakes on because it wouldn't rev past 2000 RPM no matter what I did.
