TC-SST Help on 09 Ralliat

I'm about to buy an used 09 Ralliat @ 37k miles. I was very sketched out about how the TC-SST seems to be very unreliable and that the replacement could come up to 10k...

What are good methods to drive using the SST.

AND

What are the best ways to keep my car in tip top shape so I can break 100k without having to replace the tranny. -.-

From what ive researched just flush the tranny and gear oils in your diff and tcase regularly. Also from what ive read seems like most people begin to have problems when the car is making to much torque for tranny due to a tune and mods.

But +1 id like to know others ideas

Got over 70k on the 09 I have. Did tranny fluid change about 3 times and same for difs. Pushing about 350 toque on the tranny. Sometimes it slips but no big deal.

Service the transmission at appropriate intervals using only OEM fluid and you should not have to worry about it. FYI, the fluid change runs in the 500 range because the fluid is about 165 a gallon, and it takes almost 2. Appropriate intervals are about 30k miles, slightly variable dependent on service history and use.

Drive in Sport (manual) to reduce clutch slippage/wear/heat.

You could look at the Motul DCTF fluid instead of the OEM which is about $160 for 8L through Amazon then you need the filter which isn't too pricey at about $34 plus some seals for the housing through Kozmic for the external filter.

I wouldnt recommend putting in any fluid in the TC-SST other than OEM or SSP Pro Gold. Change the filter every time you change the fluid, or buy the reusable steel filter from SSP.
Change the filter and fluid every 15-20K miles.

It would be nice if the first owner changed the fluid/filter at 5K, then every 15-20K after that. Ask what kind of maintenance he's done if it's a private seller.
