Aem cai

I just got my CAI in today, and while waiting for it to arrive I've heard different things... I was under the impression a tune WAS NOT required for this intake, which is also what the manufacture claimed as well... But i've read a few posts on here, and in Ralliarts facebook group that a tune IS required...

Any light on this? Or has anyone installed one without a tune and not having any issues?

If you gave a Wideband you can gauge for yourself but otherwise even with a Evo X maf housing it is still recommend to get a tune. But I have also read that once you get that tune to properly run the intake it takes away any benefits you had gained.

I dont have a wideband.. And getting a tune and losing the benefits seem a bit contradictory lol.... Now I don't know what to do... This intake is just sitting here looking at me :[

What ever you decide I would still get a wideband and gauge to monitor afr levels. This is good insurance even after to tune to monitor levels when you don't have a laptop hooked up to log.

you will need a tune on it - i put it on for a little while before the tune and my fuel consumption decreased which means it was running leaner than before.
