Block heater location

I was one of the unlucky Canadians whose Ralliart didn't come with a block heater so i just purchased one a few days ago, but I've been having quite a hard time trying to locate whereabouts I'm supposed to put it into the block. I've read somewhere on the driver's side of the engine but of the few posts i could find most have been rather vague.

If someone who happens to have a block heater installed or knows where to install one could take a picture for me or at least point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

The dealer told me that all Canadian model don't come with block heater. It is installed by your local dealer.

Sorry I worded that a little improperly, the dealership in my city didn't install one on my car, I picked up a block heater but I'd rather not pay them for installing something so simple. It's been around -40c all week and I haven't had a chance to try and find it.

Thanks I thought I tried a similar hole to that but the heater was to large, it's supposed to be warmer out tommorow so I'll have to check it out again. Also I maaaay have the wrong sized block heater too, a different forum recommended using a block heater from a Hyundai sonata and confirmed the fitment, but I guess I'll see!

First off thanks again Raikiri for the link!

So I finnaly got around to installing the block heater. For anyone who may need to install one in the future it is indeed in the same place as the 4b11's, a few inches behind the throttle body (closer to the rear of the car). Install took about half an hour, mostly because I decided 2am on a dim street would be a great time to do it lol. It's a bit tight in there for the sausage fingered but doable, removing the battery would probbaly aid in getting a better angle to get the heater in.

*The Hyundai sonata block heater was a perfect fit by the way.
