First post ever so please don’t judge. So, I somehow managed to misplace my one and only fob a few weeks ago. I bought it pre-owned so was only given one fob which is great. Called the dealership and they quoted me $550 for a replacement which was ridiculous. I found a mobile diagnostician/lock smith who was referred to me through the shop that I go to. He’s had a pretty rough time trying to get the fob programmed. He managed to get me on the road but nothing on the fob works and I’m still *patiently waiting for him to hopefully finish the job. I have to take out the manual key, put it in the ignition with the fob attached to the end of the key. Been driving it like that for a while now which is fine but I’ve tried multiple times to lock my car with the manual key in the door and nothing happens when I turn it. That being said I can’t lock my door without locking myself out and if you live in the city you’ll understand why it’s so important to lock your doors 😂 Any thoughts or solutions on why nothing happens when I try to lock/unlock the doors from the outside?
