18X8.5 +44 will = fronts will be flushed and rears will need a 5mm spacer to be flushed
Inner Clearance: 17mm LESS Outer Face Position: 21mm MORE
Tries: 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height

with 245 in the front with out lowering... you might now rub.... MIGHT NOT!!! but i would wanna push my luck because rubbers are not cheap and it will look like it wont rub when the car is on the lift and they are putting it on.... once on the ground its still gonna look great!!!! but wont you get it moving and weight, momentum, g force, and gravity kicks in.... you cutting real close!!! but like i said before if thats something you wanna do and try more power to you and just let us know if it fits....

i just dont have to cash to be trying out different rubbers!!!

Wouldn't 235 be too wide for the 7.5 wide wheels?

Hey evil

I read your post and then went out looking for rims and tires. I went with TenzoR Type M 18X8 with 235/40/18 Nitto NT05 rubber. I love the look and the fitment. Now I would like to lower the car just a little bit. Can I lower it a bit or at all with this setup? Would be nice to get some stiffer springs and a little lower ride. Let me know if it at all possible.

Cheers

Thanks for the informative post.

will need to know the offset of the rims.. which will contribute a lot to whether your tires will scrub when lowered.. but going off other people who have had tenzo type m rims their offset were around +45 i think or maybe they were +48.. so if the offset of your rims are the above mentioned you shouldnt have a problem when you lower the car..

But if you got the rims in the +37 offset it should still be ok depending how low you go.. but worst case you probably just have to roll the fenders but even +37 on 18x8 should be ok..

+1 I will need to know the offset??

and what type of spring/drop also if you can the weight off the spring or power?? that will determined the stiffness and body roll when hitting corners and pot holes...

Any idea how the EVO IX BBS rims fit? They are 17x8, no idea what the offset is.

The rims are a + 45 offset. I was thinking either the RRM springs with a drop of 1.5 in the front and 1.25 in the back. Not sure how much of a drop the Robispec springs are. I may save for them.

would running 235/45's cause issues? seems like a better option if one isn't planning to drop, but not sure what the taller sidewall will do
