45mm or 38mm offset?
45mm or 38mm offset?
I'm getting new tires, 215/45R18, and new rims: 18x7.5
It comes in either +38mm or +45mm offset. I tried reading about offset but I have no idea. I have no suspension modifications whatsoever. Which should I get?

Either offset should fit without problems, however you should get the +38 offset if you'd like your wheels to be closer to "flush".
By my calculations, the +38 would be approx. 1/4" short of being flush in the front. The +45 would be approx. 1/2" short of being flush.
You may want to have someone else verify this.

Stock wheels are 7" wide with +46 offset.
A 7.5" wheel with +45 offset would protrude 1/4" + 1mm more than stock.
A 7.5" wheel with +38 offset would protrude 1/4" + 8mm more than stock.
