Variance Amongst SS Lines??

I've been hunting around, but cant find a specific answer to my question:
Are SS Lines vehicle specific, auto maker specific, or general? I see some really good deals for SS Lines and 1 Liter of fluid packages (I desperately need a full flush after my track event), but they are under Evo (no RA section). Also, I want to do NSF's upgrade in about a month, which are not even Mitsu calipers. So questions:
1) Will the Evo SS Lines fit on the RA?
2) Will the Evo SS Lines fit the Corvette calipers?
Intuitively I would think so, as it would make no sense for Mitsu to use different sized brake lines (stockers). Been then again that last sentence has an oxymoron in it (can you find it ;p )
Thanks,
Steve

Steve why don't you just get the lines that Nfs sells with his brackets? Also I have already installed the kit with the stock lines and fluid and will he swapping once I get my set of SS lines from him then doing the flush.

I make my own SS lines. For the most part, line fittings are similar. However, most cars have lines of differing length. If you buy a set of SS lines for the Evo, and they don't fit, I will exchange them for Ralliart SS lines. Deal?

(Meaning, I am curious to know the answer to this question as well, as I haven't yet purchased a full set of Evo X lines. The Evo IX lines MIGHT work as well.)

OK thats cool. I had to pay for my final class (I graduate next week, but have to take one summer class), that took my money that I had been saving up to buy your full brake kit all at once. But, I really need to flush, as my DD has turned into a spongy feel on the pedal (I "may" have pushed her kinda hard on the track, haha). And I figure well if I'm going to flush,I might as well swap lines as well, since the are related, and just save some fluid for the caliper swap. And I found a package of Techna-Fit SS Lines and 1 Liter of Super Blue for $108. Sounds like a good deal.
Actually, do your SS Lines fit the stock set-up, cuz that would be even easier...

Yup, they are stock replacement lines. Even the stock lines work with the kit (which is what I am running now).

Update: Evo X stock lines don't bolt up to the Ralliart. For fun, I tried it. The lines are totally different. The problem is the connection to the Banjo-bolts and the length of the line. I am looking around for something like this for the rear, though.

If you buy Evo X lines for the ralliart then you'll be 2 lines short. The Evo uses 2 lines at the rear (1 each side) whereas the Ralliart has 4 lines at the rear (2 each side). You're better off either buying NFS' lines or Ralliart specific lines.

The Ralliart has only two lines in the rear, total. They just have different fittings. The Evo X lines all but fit, if it weren't for the fittings.

Ya, there's only one line to each caliper (front and rear). The only type of caliper that use multiple lines are like custom full race set-ups (like a heavy duty tracking Endless).

The RA definately uses 6 lines total (2 for front, 4 for rear).
Have a look at the kits available for the RA (Works, AMS) they all come with 6 lines.

The X kits only come with 4 lines.........

Evo X

RA

That's correct. The Ralliart uses a line to go from the body to the trailing arm, then a second line from the trailing arm to the caliper.

I gave this another shot. The lines in the front from the Evo X most certainly do fit and work on the Ralliart. At first blush, the lines appear to be way too long. However, there is a pretty logical mounting pattern that allows them to work. I have them on the car now, and they work find.

When you upgrade the rear to an aftermarket caliper, you must use a different set of lines. Notice the ends on the RA rear lines. They are direct bolt-in versus banjo-bolt.
