What to replace brakes with?

I'm at 41k miles on the original pads.

Front brakes @ 0.16 (4mm)
Rears @ 0.2 (5mm)

Front rotor has like, .02 wear (.5mm) so I think they're fine.

Replace pads or wait? If I gotta, I wanna do it now before the winter cause it's a PITA in a snowy drive way.

Also, anyone tried the duralast cmax ceramic pads from autozone? They're a pretty good price and seem decent for DD. Can anyone confirm if I punch in 09 lancer GTS, they pads'll fit the RA?

Thanks!!

Anything under 3/16" is worth replacing. I have Wagner ceramic pads on my car and they do alright for DD.

I've just recently replaced my pads with carbone lorraine pads -well impressed! Great bite and a decent temp range as well. Worth a look at for an upgraded pad

I tend to replace my brakes with Elmer's glue and potato latkas.

Does the potato have to be cooked or can it be raw?

I tend to fry them on a frying pan. I have found that raw potatoes can be tricky to form into the correct bolt pattern.

So, in all seriousness, if you are looking for Semi-metallic pads, I would go with Hawk HPS. I have absolutely been 100% satisfied with every set that I have run so far. I would also replace the rotors with Centric Premium rotors. That is what I run/ran on my Ralliart.

The GTS pads will NOT fit the Ralliart. You must look up Ralliart specific pads. I believe that the front rotors are the same. The rears are different. To be on the safe side, I would confirm that everything is a Ralliart specific P/N before ordering anything.

Using Stoptech at the moment. Dust comes off rims easier than Hawk or Axxis I've used previously.

I tried doing a search and the amount of information/mis information out there is staggering. Lots of part xxx fits me then immediately someone saying part xxx doesn't.

Do you know what part # the fronts and rears are for the hawk pads?

I'm a big fan of CarboTech pads. They have the correct RA specific part.

Front: HB214F.618
Rear: HB675F.602

I have those two saved in my database, so I am fairly certain that those numbers are correct.
