Xxr 521?

Hey guys I've been looking around for new wheels and wanted to see if anyone has a set of the 521's on their RA yet? If you did what specs did you get? I'm looking at the 18x8.5 +35 right now but not sure how good they will look on my car.

to be honest, if looks is all you care about, i think they will look pretty good. but to me, xxr wheels fall in to the same category as rota, in quality. i would be weary of cheap wheels.

I know but I can't afford the $1500 price tag for one wheel that I want so this is going to have to do for now. I'm not going to be driving like a crazy maniac and there are no pot holes where I live so they should hold up.

Hey guys I just got my new wheels in and I'm having a problem. I have a set of Ray lugs but when I tried to put the lugs on they wouldn't drop into the hole.

Anyone have an idea of what I should do? Should I get some shi* lugs from auto zone and sell my Ray's or find a place that works with wheels and have them bore out the holes?

You don't seem to have a choice.

No...just no. Just because you don't know of any decent "less expensive" wheels doesn't mean that there aren't any. XXR is crap upon crap. However, Rota is decent. They do fine at the track. Check around the web if you don't believe me.

You can be weary all you want. You also don't need to buy TE37's or pay prices anywhere near that to get a decent wheel. You don't even need to pay that much for forged wheels. Not even close.

So I was reading online about some people having the same issue and some people say that if boring out the holes will "violate the integrity" of the wheel. Is this true? I'm only wanting to bore it out by 1/16 of an inch. Not sure if it will cause issues with the wheel (balance wise).

Yes, do not do this. Get new lugs. It isn't worth it.

Your wheels are more likely to break than the lugs.
