Tire Help

So yesterday I plasti dipped my stock wheels and noticed on my one front tire the cords are showing on the inside edge, and my car only has almost 10 k on it! The other front one is wore pretty bad to. I had to replace the two back tires when I bought the car(I bought it wrecked and fixed it). I replaced them with cooper zeon zpt tires which aren't all that good. I plan on getting some different rims next summer and getting good summer tires put on them, and I will keep my stockers for winter. So all that being said here's where I need you imput.

Should I :

A: Get two cooper tires two match my back two(most affordable option)
B: Get 4 New all season tires Continental? Kumho

Also do you know if they will give you money off new tires if you trade in your old ones?
Any additional info, advice, etc. is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

As for money back depends on how much tread. I had cotinental dws tires before good all season tires but I'm trying the Yokohama 580's now so far not bad tires but I'm running 245/40 on stock Mr bbs's

At first I thought I would keep my stockers for winter but the price for winter tires in 18" sizes were 200 each

If you can live with allseasons in the summer months then that would be the cheapest option in the long run.

I went with 16" wheel + michelin x-ice for my winter wheels, it was less then 200 per corner and will be cheaper the next time i need to purchase winter tires in the 16" size ($115).

True if your getting new rims and tires in the spring/summer just get winter tires cuz all seasons do ok at neat in the snow. Unless you don't get alotta snow then kinda a toss up.

I doubt they'll give you money back on tires that are worn to steel. Did you check your alignment when you fixed the car?

Yeah, winter tires aren't cheap. How much stickier are good summer tires vs. good all seasons. I would like to eventually drag my car and maybe do autox. Also how much better are winter tires vs. all seasons during winter. We don't get a lot of snow where I live.

I live about 45 mins. from Lebanon, and I would say we dont get a lot of snow.

I wouldn't try to get money for the one that has cords showing I meant the back two that have good tread If I decided to get 4 new tires. Yea, I got it aligned once by someone who didnt know what they were doing, then I got a full four wheel alignment done and it was better but I still have to hold the steering wheel a little off center to go straight. I think the previous owner was hard on them a drove them underinflated because they are wore bad on the inside and outside edges.

This indicates a possible camber problem - did the original owner lower the car?

Defintely find out why this is happening before putting on a new set of tires.

Consider Yokohama AVIDS for a really good all season tire that is reasonably priced...

Yea, I need to get that checked out.
I think I might just get 2 coopers to match my rear 2 tires for these rims and see how they do this winter, then next summer get another set of rims with summer tires on them. Just got back from tirebarn and the guy said there that on awd cars it can mess up the tranny just changing 2 tires. Anyone know if this is true. I think it was just bs to get me to buy all 4 tires but not sure.

Hard call Tbh depends on how much tread has been used. Check the tread and make sure no unusual wear and see how much different tread depth between yours and new.

Ok, thanks for the help guys. Here's what I'm doing. I found a set of barely used x-ice tires on ebay and I couldn't pass them up. The price averaged out to like $110 a tire w/shipping!! So i'm gonna be putting them on for this winter then next spring I will probably get a different set of rims and put on some good summer tires. I have a feeling its going to be a hard winter and I'm excited because I love to snowboard, so hopefully winter tires will pay off. I also do lots of traveling to resorts and such so It will be nice with winter tires.

That's a good deal on 18" winter tires.

This car is a blast in the snow on winter tires.
