Driving with the spare
Driving with the spare
I would think this has been asked already but I couldn't find it.
I am currently driving on my spare and it may be a few days before I get the normal wheel put on (I am waiting for an ACD pump to com in). Aside from safety / performance issues of being on the spare is there any negative affects to the AWD system or other complications I am not thinking about .
Also, does anyone know does the spare have a max speed limit. I didn't see any marking on the wheel itself and nothing when doing a quick flip through the manual.
Thanks

Thanks for the help. Hopefully they get the pump in soon. My bro works at the dealership so I he takes it in but that's a lot of hassle to do twice in a week time frame. Plus they are doing the 60k maintenance. Should come back driving like new.
Usual recommended rule for spare tires is 50/50/50 rule. 50 psi, no more than 50 miles traveled on, no more than 50 miles per hour. There are MANY people who vary from this principle, so I think you'll be fine so long as you take it easy and have the spare mounted in the rear.
