nice! I have an Injen SRI on my tiburon and I love it....im very interested to see how they managed to squeeze the CAI in our engine bay.....the IC piping looks really good too! hopefully they will price them right...

So you gained 20 WHP? I call absolute BS on that one, I wouldn't gain that and I have a bigger motor and a turbo helping me out.

 

Why are you assuming that's the only mod he had on his car?

 

I'm assuming that he's actually talking about the gains the Injen CAI gave, not the gains the Inken CAI + exhaust + header + tune + fudge factor gave.

 

Yeah if its just the intake there I no way of a 20 hp gain. I don't belive that.

 

I got about 10hp from my new wiper blades.

 

i got 12 whp from my cai on my focus. but thats because it was a 2.3 ltr pzev motor. extremely restrictive lol but 22 hp? that sounds like a lot

 

that sheet is real. and no its not only intake its headers, injen catback, injen intake. that gave me 149WHP base was 127whp.

I still call BS, a NA 4-banger does not gain 22 WHP from those mods without any tuning. Even Import Tuner doesn't have gains like that.

 

well think what you want. i didn't suck out that sheet out of my finger. its real no photoshop. i just told you what i had on my lancer and those are the results. my base was 127hp..... and with rrm headers, injen catback and injen intake where dyno shows i ended up with 149whp. sorry that you don't believe me. but i have no reason to lie about what i gained with that setup. that car is long gone anyways and i am looking to better things with my ralliart. Even injen claims 11HP gain and 10 lbs ft trq. So if you have questions about that and don't believe it i think you should contact injen and have them prove to you that the intake in fact gains 11HP. Remember everything has to due with elevation, what dyno was used, and may be because it was 20 degrees outside it helped me out also. So if i would have dynoed my car where you lived i might only gained 18HP instead of 22Hp. or less..
I just wanna leave it at that because i don't wanna have beef with anyone here on evom.

 

its possible depending on the car almost everyone that had a focus with the 2.3ltr pzev motor gained around 32whp with intake header and exhaust. but if you had seen the restrictive intake and exhaust then you would understand lol by the time i was done with my focus it hadI/H/E tune flywheel clutch and balance shaft removal and i dynoed at 169. i never baselined but most baseline between 120-125 so i gained around 45

 

thats what i am trying to tell the guy above. i have no reason to lie about this.. my lancer gained 22whp and thats that. if i said yeah my lancer gained 50whp by doing the mods yeah you could call me a liar but 22whp with those mods is respectable. especially when i have a dyno sheet to back me up.
