Is it alright to run the TBE + pill tune for a 2011 Ralliart if I just have a high flow cat and catback? (no downpipe yet)

I am curious as to what iPhone apps are out there. I've seen some guys at autocross with some apps that map out the course and have the "racing friction" circle somehow working in an app to tell where they lose grip. Never looked but would be interested to know what people use.

Check out adyno and Garmin mechanic. I'm not sure if they are available on itunes, but they are on android. I just downloaded them last night and haven't had the chance to try them out yet, but they look cool. Adyno has a g meter that measures your g's. And a virtual dyno that I've heard isn't the most accurate. Garmin mechanic takes an adapter to go to your obd2 and can be used as a diagnostic tool and lots of other cool stuff.

Wouldn't a TBE need a downpipe to be a TBE lol

Spending up on a huge, wide aftermarket downpipe... fitted to a turbocharger the size of a party whistle... is absolutely fine if you feel the urge.

Oh, and just so you know, I'm chasing up this P050B thing with Bryan. Obviously, something is going on to make that code pop up again. I just don't know what... coz I'm not a tuner by trade. Watch this space for details.

Seb15, you've just gone from factory tune to Base Map, right? Should be quite a big change!

Did some more 0-60 testing today guys and this time I came up with 5.1 sec. every time. So I don't know what I was doing wrong/differently the other time other then starting the timer late.

I reverted back to stock tune last night, in anticipation of sending it to the dealer for servicing this morning. I think I've taken these GST basemap tunes for granted - cos once you revert back to standard settings, it's surprising the amout of slip that the SST trans allows. The car took on quite a different character completely! I couldn't believe it came like that stock... If I had test driven this back to back with Subie or VW competitors, I don't think I would've picked the Ralliart!!

Yeah, the factory SST stuff seems like Mitsubishi's best shot at a torque-converter transmission emulation.

And the factory throttle pedal is Mitsubishi's best shot at a ripe banana emulation.

Haha, thats a good one. It's true though. I am starting to have a love hate relationship with I like their vehicles overall but things like you pointed out and the stories of their warranty and customer service makes me a bit angry.
