Hi omegis.

Instead of going through the gears at full noise, for test-logging runs use 3rd gear from 2000rpm up to redline. Or 4th if you have a private road at your disposal, hehe.

For repeatability, start slightly above 2000rpm in the correct gear. Coast or brake lightly down to exactly 2000rpm, then floor it and log a full rpm sweep in that one gear. If you use the same stretch of road each time, you should get useful, repeatable results.

Regarding your black residue around the tailpipe... as Slee256 said, it's pretty normal. Mine had it on the stock tune, and has retained it on GST tune. Bryan's tune keeps "lean spool" on (probably more aptly described as progressive enrichment from what I've gleaned so far), and AFR can drop below 11.0:1 after a bit of peddling fast. That's what my Innovate LC-1 is telling me, anyway! Wideband=good.

Bryan, this morning I started up my car after it had been sitting since Friday night. I got the p050 cold start ignition timing CEL. I just wanted to see if you had any idea why this is happening? Will this cause any damage if I keep driving like this? I don't want to go back to stock but I don't want to damage anything either. It was only around 34 degrees out and the car was in the garage the whole time.

No sir. CEL is nonexistent and I've seen temps range from 30 degrees to 60 degrees. Been cranking the car first thing each morning after a good night rest. Looks great!

BTW, taking her out to the track Wednesday to see what she does with the tune you provided.

The P050B CEL is common with the V2 basemap. I have encountered this code twice now in my RA. The first time was when the temp of my garage got below 32* F and the second time was when I was parked in my parent's driveway and the temp was 18* F outside. Cleared the code with my scanner and it hasn't come back on for at least a week now. Just clear the code and see if it comes back on.

According to what I have gathered, this code isn't anything to be worried about.

Thanks for the reply psycho. I will clear the code today after work. I was surprised it is coming on after getting away with temps in the single digits. Hopefully it will stay off this time.

I've gotten that code like 3 or 4 times now. Seems to happen any time I park my car on top of the parking garage at work. lol. Each time I clear it with EvoScan and go on with my day.

Hey guys, looks like I solved the P050B on omegis's 2011, post #1608.

Let me update a couple more basemaps for you guys to test to see if it solves the issue.

If you can, please post which basemap you are using and how often you have been getting the P050B.

I'm running the V2 93 w/pill and I have gotten the P050B about 4 times in the last 2 months.

I'm running the '09 V2 91 Octane w/ Boost Pill. P050B has occurred 2 times so far.

91oct V2 and boost pill, happened 2 times within the last week. I will clear today after work and post if it happens tomorrow morning.
