Doesn't the bov recirc tube just go into the intake though? And what parts did you have to buy to build the DIY SRI you have? I know I need a small battery kit, filter and MAF housing. What else would I need?

Mike@RRE sells an AEM-to-XTurbo adapter. If you don't want to modify it yourself, you can go that route.

Yes the bpv just gored into the intake but I had a stock tube from a teem to make it happen. The diy intake you'll need the maf housing evo intake and a filter. I have all of it if you need one.

I have everything u need to swap ur ralliart to an evo x. Well, not the gaskets and stuff, but I got the manifold, turbo, fuel pump, injectors (stock and dw800cc), intake, UICP, LICP (stock and aftermarket), FMIC... Even cams. Pm me if u need it.

My car will undergo surgery this weekend. And all of this will be taken out.

Intake and battery

I'm getting closer to the swap date and am stressing that I'm going to run into issues. (This is a pretty complex upgrade!) I've bought all the parts listed in the first post, but after reading the 10 other pages the two items that I am reluctant to buy are the intake (AMS or CBRD SRI) and the small battery kit.

As for the intake, could I just do the custom SRI using a K+N cone mounted on the EVO MAF? Anyone done it that way?

Will doing this SRI also make it so I don't need to buy a small battery kit? I'd rather not because I live in a cold state and need a powerful batt for winter.

Thanks for the help.

I am in need of some help, I'm in the middle of this turbo swap. And I got to get it done by tomorrow night. I'm trying to take off the manifold and turbo. And it looks like I got all the bolts but it's still not coming loose. Is there a really well hidden bolt that I'm missing?

I'm getting close to doing the swap and I'm gonna use the stock intake too. My understanding is you just need a coupler to connect the intake to the inlet. If you look here: http://rawevo.com/forums/showthread....-swap-kit&p=37 I believe the coupler is the blue piece shown.
RRE (Road Race Engineering) has this for sale, but you could find it elsewhere. It's not some super special piece.

Has anyone heard of any brackets needed ? Buddy recently told me to make sure I get two brackets for the turbo and manifold from the X, being that RA one's don't fit.
