Active Center Differential

About 2 days ago it was -20 degree Fahrenheit and my ACD waring display showed up. I know in the manual it states

" If the ambient temperature drops and the viscosity of the AWC control fluids increase, the warning may be displayed.

At this time, ACD control is temporarily suspended but will not affect normal driving.

After the vehicle is driven for a while, if the engine is restarted after the AWC control fluid warms up or the ambient temperature increases, then ACD control will start operating again if the warning display goes out"

Know tonight im going to take my car out driving (casually) to see if it does warm up and change this...

I was just trying to find out if anyone else has had this problem, or anything related to this and what they did to solve it. Its 300 miles to the closest Mitsubishi Dealer for me so id like to resolve myself or locally if possible.

On another note I also know the turbo isn't liking these temperatures either.

Help? Please and Thank-you

sorry i can't be much help. but i haven't experienced that issue yet. and its been pretty damn cold here the past couple weeks.

-28 to -30C for the past week. no issue.

only thing i've had happen is the whine sound on initial startup. but goes away after about 5secs. My hunch is this sound is actually the power steering system. All my previous cars. Mainly Chryslers all did this.

I called a Mitsubishi dealership and they said keep the car on for about an hour and drive it normally and if it doesn't go away then its not the fluids in the ADC and to bring it in to get maintenance

the majority of the time, its just cold fluid, but like said before, a good long drive and warming up of the car will take care of it. apparently, tho, there are a few cases of this happening to the point where the awc pump stops working and needs to be replaced after a bunch of testing by the dealership and confirmation by mitsu tech support engineers.
