+ - mode

So I was just wondering if anyone else keeps doing this also...when i drive around i keep it in the + - mode and shift using the gear shifter. Now when i try to accelerate fast i tend to forget to shift and just expect it to upshift at redline, but instead i keep bouncing off the rev limiter. Just wanted to know if im the only dummy that does this

I've forgotten to downshift once.
If you keep forgetting to shift up all the time, keep it in auto mode. It's better for the car that way.

LOL

All of us here and your car are trying to tell you to remember to shift.

My problem is reversed. I drive with it in Paddle Shift mode all the time, but in the snow I just leave it in drive cause the take offs are smoother, and i sometimes forget im in drive and i throw it into neutral trying to shift up...let me just say...I have never wanted to punch myself in the testies so hard before. Not to mention it's really hard to pull off to people driving with you or behind you like you ment to do it.

The way I see it. I still have two years of warrenty left.

In the Snow i hit the rev limiter often, try not to but hard when in sport mode. Ive tryed the paddles at the drag strip and had the problems with it wanting to shift for me right before i hit the + and then im a gear ahead of myself. Ive gotta some good passes just nippn the limiter at the strip in sport with the paddles.

Dude, keep it in manual mode and it won't "shift for you."

it's happened to me once or twice and only while racing off the dig, I simply forgot I had it in manual and I got hella scared, thinking something was wrong with my tranny... dumbass me haha!

I recommend you stop forgetting that often though! :-D

I have no control of the shift points..even in staging it wants to jump back into auto shift while still in sport mode. I cant sit long with it in first gear or it shifts back into auto while waiting to race. When in manual mode it will wanna still shift before redline sometimes.

Are you leaving the stick in D and then manually overriding? Cause if you do that, the next time you hold onto the shifter too long, it reverts back to auto.

If you leave the stick in actual manual, then it won't revert back to auto.

^ and if you go to a total stop (red light for example) it will also revert back to auto

So even though it is in manual mode - it will still automatically up shift itself at red line?
