Transfer Oil Change
SOG RA
not many people scared of using AMSOIL, on the evo side i have sold around 1500 quarts of transfer case and rear diff fluid las year alone, many of those cars runnin anywhere from 300 hp to 550 hp
remember some companies decide to put their money in research to make oils better,, then other companies decide to put their money and dump it in advertising.

Did you do the job yourself Piper? Yeah, I dont know why everyone is so scared of using Amsoil, its the best, hands down. In response to somebody who said apagan is biased...Of course he is, he wouldnt be a dealer if he thought the product was no good, and surprisingly, Amsoil has the research and proof to back it all up. Almost all the other companies people seem to prefer for these things advertise on TV, word of mouth, just about everywhere. So tends to make people think its so much better because they heard of it and they guy down the block uses it and swears by it. You got nothing to lose by trying out a tried and true great lube product. Unless you do try it out, any decision you make against it is biased.
^^^Ya, Im with Piper on that! A buddy of mine changed his at 30k and said it should have been replaced at 10k...Changing mine within the next week. I am at 23k and am probably going to be pist at myself when I drain it.
that is definately not for engine with filter, tranny , rear diff and tranfer case plus labor,,, i am sure they charge much more than 129 for full service with labor.

Actually Mitsubishi defines what "severe" is and none of my driving falls under it, so I follow the General schedule. If Mitsubishi thought 90% of drivers needed the severe schedule, it would be the General schedule.
^Right. But honestly, with a part like that, the sooner you replace the diaqueen, the better. I just did mine when I was getting some shop work done, guy used Motul, took 5 mins, done. I have 18k, when he took that screw out it was sludgified, nasty stuff. Instead of arguing about when to do it and what maintanence schedule you fit into, just do it, you have absolutely nothing to lose by doing so...and your car will thank you for it.
I personally think that every and any daily driven car should have maintenance done based on the manufactures "severe maintenance" schedule. Any cars running daily and every so often at the track should have maintenance done even earlier.
