I believe that's the case if you keep running high boost...you need to deliver a lot more E85 to keep up. By lowering boost, you could probably get away with the stock injectors/pump.

I'm still looking to hear results from Ralliart owners on E85 with stock turbo.

Is the scarcity of E85 in Ralliarts due to no map switching as yet? Would several of you Ralliart owners be making the jump to E85 if map switching was as simple as it is with EVO VIII?

BTW, does anyone know why there is not a Dyno Results sub-forum for Ralliart? There is for EVO 1-9 and X, but not for Ralliart. Just curious.

i'll actually be converting sometime this spring or summer, depending on build progress and funding.

i've got kind of a noob question, i'd just like to clarify something though: when they change grades of e85 either seasonally or class change for whatever reason, that just changes the percentages right? so a wideband would detect the change in afr and i'd know its time for a tune adjustment right? i just want to be able to maintain the drivability and longevity of the car as well as i possibly can

also, i read the hints & tips thread you started and it's definitely something that anyone looking to do e85 should read. lots of good info in there

I've been on E85 for almost three years. I can't tell any difference in seasons.

However, I do not have an ethonal content gauge. I wish I did; it would certainly be nice to know what blend I'm getting.

The wideband has not indicated any discernable AFR change. Most tuners do not tune E85 on the ragged edge, so I've not been too concerned about seasonal fuel changes. If you are running an on-the-edge drag race tune, then I'd suggest an ethanol content gauge.

That is because you are on the west coast (close enough). I know for a fact that E85 mixtures do not change based on season, in California.

In the midwest they do change the mixtures, down to E70 or so, in the colder months.

so will it show up on a wideband or do i actually need an ethanol % gauge? the car rarely, if ever, sees wot daily driving anyways, and track time would be in the summer months with the e85, but its always better safe than sorry. thanks

Yes it will show up on a wideband and fuel trims.

It will run richer with less ethanol content and trims will swing negative.

Father's Day bump..

Hope you are all enjoying your kids today...and every day. And appreciating your father; my father passed on 10 years ago and I miss him every day. Love ya Dad!

-------------------------

Has anyone done an E85 tune on their stock turbo RA? I'd like to see dyno/VD numbers on an RA with just intake, exhaust, fuel pump, injectors, and an E85 tune.

If anyone would like to make donations to move the e85 conversion fund forward, I'd gladly accept them in order to expedite the build...

Otherwise I'm still pinching my pennies for awhile longer

i have also thought about going e85 but lately i have been hearing alot about them getting rid of e85, because its actually not any better for the economy like they thought. and a few other reasons which makes me not want to waste my money if they are going to get rid of it which i hope they dont!
