Evo X FMIC vs RA FMIC

If this has been discussed already, I apologize. I used the search but could only find a informational experience I believe done by Splatz. I know the Evo i/c is twice the size of the RA and that it should keep temps down. I am wondering if anyone out there has data logs for temps at WOT or any data showing how crappy our i/c is and how much better it would be to throw on the evo X i/c and pipes.

Thanks jkennedy, I saw that after I posted. But if I read correctly GST was comparing the CBRD i/c vs RA's stock i/c. I really don't want to spend $700+ for an I/c when I don't plan on upgrading the turbo. I've seen X i/c going for less than $200 on here and plan to pick that up. No matter what the X ic will be way better than my stock ic. Was just seeing if anyone had some data comparing the two.

I just did the swap and i can now run more timing advance and don't get heat soak and pick up knock in the higher gears anymore. So its working well! I picked one up with pipes for 120$ shipped. VERY worth while mod!!!

the misconception about intercoolers is that you dont need one with a stock turbo.

the reality is that a smaller turbo will blow more heat than a larger turbo because it is out of its efficiency range

Nice good to here! I figured it would be well worth it especially because its twice as big on smaller turbo. The ic should of been my first mod but I picked up and just installed ams catback. definitely going to snag the X ic and pipes asap. Then work on modifying the v2 93 oct + bp from GST for my mods. Thanks for your input guys, I appreciate it very much!!!
