Transmission Oil Leak

Found out yesterday that there is a transmission oil leak on my car when I was doing engine oil change. Not sure how it happened. It's only 5k+ mile on it. Never track it since I bought it. The only mods I have was DP and HFC. I am just using as DD car.

Has anyone had any issue like this or it's just me being bad luck?

I am taking to the dealership soon. Any suggestion or anything I should be aware of before going there. Thanks.

This has happened to a few people on this board. I think most were fixed by a gasket replacement.

Same thing

Mine has 6k miles on it currently, found out during an oil change at the dealership that I had the same leak. I am currently waiting on a part to be shipped in, they topped off the fluids and told me to not exceed 200 miles while waiting on the part. Everything was covered for me under warranty.

I had a tranny leak @ 28xx km's! Noticed on first oil change... Dealership took photos and replaced the entire tranny... still hoping this one doesn't crap out cause i'm not sure they would replace it again.. :s

Don't quote me, but I think where the leak developed, whats an area that would have taken more time to open/repair then to swap...

I have the exact same problem. My dealership did not know what the problem was at first. They have ordered a part. They believe its the gasket for the tranny.

If it does not fix the problem a new tranny is the next step.

Question: how would this effect the quailty of the drive? Im experienceing a much rougher ride. More vibrations.

Btw they noticed this during my third oil change @ 12,000 km.

For the people who have had this problem. Did u notice more vibration in the car? Primarily from the drivers area and steering wheel? Ive noticed a considerable amount of vibrations starting up.
Especially @ 100km -120km
