what kind of oil does it take? i just got the car and it had a leak found out it was coming from the transmission so i tightened the bolt that was loose. it leaked a bit so im looking to have a local shop just drop the plate and reattach than refill, they said they would charge only 18 for labor if i buy the fluid. can someone help where i can find it? im not worried about price just want good transmission fluid.

 

Its called transmission fluid, and mitsu has their own kind, i suggest you see what they use. If you dont even know what something is properly called I suggest you don't even attempt to do it yourself.

 

i was asking if someone knew the kind u didnt help me in any way. not trying to sound rude just sounds like u think i dont know what im doing which is why i said i was having a shop in town do it for $18 in labor if i bought the tranny fluid. so not trying to start a problem just wanting a real response.

 

just drive to a mitsu dealer and ask for transmission fluid for your lancer. you could of also looked in your owners manual to see what it's called and how much it needs.

 

ya i would have just went to dealership except its about 200 miles away. i got it all figured out though thank you. i didnt know the manual had it in there i figured it would just say contact a dealer. haha. thank you
