EvoScan Options

I need to start data logging and I want to make sure that Ive got the right options selected to make everything accurate. I selected the Mode 23 RA option, but I hadnt heard of that mentioned on other threads.

When I start logging at idle most of the numbers look right except boost which sits around -7 but my gauge shows around -14. I know its possible that my gauge is off or the data point EvoScan is using is different than what my boost gauge is using.

Im using GSTs BaseMap which has Mode 23 enabled.

If I have anything selected incorrectly please let me know.
Thanks

Looks fine to me. Vacuum seems normal. Mine sits around -8 or something.

I pulled a log while the car was sitting at idle and made a couple quick revs, can someone look at the log for me and see if it seems right?

Also not sure how to post the log, so I could email it if someone gives me their email.

Things look ok as far as I can see....which isn't much from that log

STFT, and MAT are not right, but some of the logging address are still not readily available. Have you looked here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...sses-info.html
You must also not have a Wideband hooked up.

Now go do a 3rd gear wot pull from 2000 - 6000 and post up.

I dont really understand how to add the logging address. I understand the concept but not how to actually do it.

I do have a wideband, but I hooked up the adapter wrong when I was down stairs and didn't realize it till I was back up here.

I do a pull tomorrow night and post it up.

Thanks

There are two ways that I know of to modify logging address and such in Evoscan. Either right click on the parameter you want to change and select "Edit data items" and alter the "RequestID" to the desired address, or modify the xml itself in Evoscan. To do this, go to the Evoscan folder where it was installed on your pc and open the "DataSettings" folder. Open the "Mitsubishi EvoX Mode23 USA.xml" file and alter the code directly within your car's heading.

As for finding the correct address, if they are not in the thread I linked to, I can be of no real help

Im not using the Evo X file though, im using the RA one shown in the pic at the top of the thread. I noticed it had a lot less parameters than the X one.

Can I just copy and paste the data from the other thread or do I need to replace certain sections of data if im modifying the file itself?

You can cut and paste yes, just don't duplicate anything. The data applicable to the RA is inside the EvoX Mode23 USA file. Just have a look. The easiest way really is to just right click and change the address. Most of the stuff is correct, so that method is probably quicker.

Here are two data logs from tonight, both are the GST V2 93oct Stock Pill maps.

The first one is in 5th gear cruising at 35 mph
The second one is a 3rd gear pull from 2000-6000rpm

Unfortunately there is something wrong with my Wideband logging. My laptop is recognizing the serial to USB adapter but its not seeing any data once I start logging. I thinking it might be wired up wrong.

Im confused as to which option I should be selecting under Select ECU? Ive been selecting Mode 23 2010 USA RA, should I be selecting Mode 23 EvoX? When I did and tried to log I got the following error.

Check to see if you have the correct com port selected in Evoscan under the WideBand drop-down.

Mode 23 2010 USA RA is the right one to select. I was merely stating that to edit the Mode 23 2010 USA RA xml, that section is inside the "EvoX Mode23 USA" xml file. That's all.

I think your log looks ok, aside from a bit of "ringing" in the boost/load plot. Try logging the Active WGDC correction. Looks like you'll need to add some stuff to the xml from that thread to do so.

Sorry I meant to elaborate more on the WB. I have the correct COM Port selected (went to Device Manager, saw the device name, noted the port, went into EvoScan and selected the port).

I think its a wiring thing. I have the AEM analog WB, but not the UEGO. It has 2 wires for data logging + and -. I bought the serial cable from Mellon (http://www.mellontuning.com/index.ph...roducts_id=467) This cable only has a ground wire and a data wire. My installer took both wires from the gauge and connected it to the data wire on the serial cable and grounded the ground wire. I'm thinking this might not have been correct.
