Supercharger

I went to compete in an Auto Show and Race yesterday afternoon and while I was there I saw a twin charged G35. Anyways, I was wondering if there might be a super charger kit for our cars that will wrk with the stock turbo?

i assume you are referring to twin charging? Pointless, completely pointless. You can make more power off an fp green.

Twin charging is not about making more hp, its about increasing the low-end torque of a turbocharged motor, allowing for a more linear delivery of power.

Eh. In my opinion, twin charging is just something for shows. It turns heads and people say "COOOOOOL" when they see it, but it's not practical. A properly tuned turbo will do the same thing and more. When that turbo spools, it will over power the blower, possibly causing it to slip. I do remember someone building some car that they twin charged and were able to open the wastegate on the blower keeping it out of boost after the turbo began to spool.

Well I did win the Bracket Race. I was also the second fastest import behind that G35 ( He was running in the 11's and there were 3 other G35s that had turbos that I still smoked). The domestics killed us when it came down to Head to Head All Out. Anyways, he was making tons of low end torque and his power band was very even. I was just thinking it would be cool to do to my car, especially since no one else has it.

I've never personally driven or riden in a SC'd car but I think AWD plus instant power would be fun.

yes because close to 300 wtrq at 3200 rpm some how isnt enough.

The SC wont alot for it to arrive any quicker, and it wont make as much. It takes power to make power with an SC and defeats itself in doing so.

your getting the wrong idea, go with a big turbo so you time your lag with your power efficiency map from your supercharger

like in the cobalt world

M62 falls flat on its face on a stock pulley after about 5500, that's when you want you turbo's power band to be kicking in.

Like on my TWINCHARGED cobalt i have a 3.2 inch pulley so my stock blower runs around 13.5 psi and feeds into my gt35R which than is already pre spooled to around 13.5 psi no turbo lag and i continue to spin to around 27 psi never ever ever losing power until my car revs out at 8192rpms cuz my factory pcm wont go any further.

my torque line is consistently climbing much further than my plain GT35R ever did and my power outputs were up 22.6% on the same boost

but you never want run a small pidly turbo on a twincharged system defeats the whole purpose

but having 550 tq at 1500 rpm and never falling off and having hp exceed 600 is sick

twin charging is good if setup right but it gets complicated and to much crap in engine bay just build a custom turbo big compresser and smaller turbine wheel

I don't understand how this thread is worthless without pics. For one NOBODY has a twin charged Evo or Ralliart that I know of. And two, it is a discussion if it could be done and the benefits/drawbacks of doing so.

Anyways, I really want to do this. So does anyone have any ideas as to where I can look for a SC or any shops that I could take my car to and have this done?
