CBRD Baseline testing-
We had a chance to get our 2011 RASB on the dyno this morning..
Last night we built a resonated test pipe for the car... and tested the factory BOV..
the bov cracked at 8psi and was fully open close to 18psi...
with the test pipe in and the APS bov in place...
Here are the Baseline numbers (graph coming in about 20 mins)
187whp/223 wtq.
This is on 93 octane and temps are around 48 degrees....
I was hoping she would make a little more... but the car rauns about 18psi peak dropping HARD to 8 psi by redline.. with AFR's dropping into the low 10's...
We will be testing our FMIC on the car (at this point I have NO rom file to tune with, waiting on Razorlab and Tephra to hook me up)... and we will also be testing an upgraded WG actuator sometime next week!
On other notes:
The car will be lowered this afternoon and will have some evo X MR BBS wheels on it by the middle of next week with tires supplied by our friends at ADAN Yokohama!
pics coming!
cheers

S U B S C R I B E D!
This is going to be an extremely fun project to watch, can't wait to see it all come together.
Those baseline line numbers are low though...they maybe the lowest base numbers I've seen so far on any stock RA?

I will run it with the stock BOV here in a few...
and I will probably put the cat back in.

further proof that our car makes less then 200 whp stock.
Thank you for taking the time to baseline, hopefully it starts to sink in with those who disbelieve.
excited to see the quality parts you come out with.

those are right on par.
mine and 4 others in my area all made 185-190 whp

just doing some BOV testing now..
we have a BAD APS... it actually lost a little power over the stocker....
I am not testing the synchronic!
with the stocker we had one pull that was a bit leaner and boost spiked to 18.4 psi.. it made 198/222

That sounds about right...CBRD is about 450 ft...
Keep it coming CBRD....you're adding some life to my boring Friday afternoon at work...
all 4 cars were tested at around 1400 ft elevation in Red Deer.

tested an aps (which i think is bad, this is still my favorite BOV... I've never had a bad one before)..
tested the synchronic..
ironically the leaking stocker made the most power...
We then bolted our FMIC on (with the stock bov)
and made a peak of apprx 212whp/222wtq.. it lost about 1.1 psi (this intercooler is OVER twice the size of stock)... but still made more power and the same torque at less boost and richer AFR's...
Can't wait to tune it.
This week we will build some ic pipes (like our X kit) and retune... then add a 3 port.
I will scan the charts tomorrow at work... the FMIC REALLY smoothed out the HP/tq curves..
I think I am going to remove 1 tube on the bottom of the core for the RA... that will give us about 1/2" more clearance underneath... our X core is soo big that the bolts that hold the RA undertray on actually push against it when they are installed!!
Cheers
