td04hl-20?

I believe this is the turbo used in the cailber srt-4 which has a 2.4 liter version of our motor I think? Well anyway can someone look up some specs to see if this turbo is compatiable with our setups. I would look myself but its hard to do on my phone and I don't get on a computer much.

The SRT-4 motor is much, much different than the 4b11t found in the Ralliart and EVO X. The turbo might be similar (and I'll defer to those with much more experience in these matters), but I believe that the td04 in the SRT-4 (just like the td04 in the WRX) shares the same housing as our turbo, but not necessarily the same internals (compressors, turbines, waste gate, etc.). In other words, the SRT-4 might have a similar turbo, but much different performance characteristics.

Anyway I asked this question because I knew both motors were built by gema (mitsubishi, chrysler, and hyundai) I also knew both turbos were made by mitsubishi. I found an article explaining everything and the differences. Thank you for who ever put effort in to helping me.

Glad you learned to Google instead of asking others to do it for you.

^^ DaJackson Are you blind or just not paying attention, he said in his first post on this thread : (quote from gaabbee) I would look myself but its hard to do on my phone and I don't get on a computer much.

I find it funny that instead of helping someone you just laugh in his face like that...
Thank you for all your help, your always full of information...

Nope neither, I was just commenting on how lazy he came across in his post. Seeing that he was able to post from his phone but couldnt type "caliber srt4 wiki" into his phone to find the answer.

I guess I see Jackson's point but really why do you care how lazy someone else is and feel a need to point it out them? lol.

That turbocharger is a different size. If you want to upgrade your turbocharger and maintain the stock manifold, why not just buy the CBRD unit?

As far as I know, the larger Volvo TD04HL turbochargers will fit on our cars. I believe that the S60R had something like a TD04HL-19t, which is a pretty decent sized compressor. However, I don't know that for sure. I wouldn't take a risk on one of those, either.

Finally someone gives a knowledgable answer. Also you don't know the situation I'm in so don't call me lazy. Just give information if you know or have experiance with the subject. I'm sick of newbie questions just like everyone else here. Best thing you can do is just stay out of the threads that have been answered already. They will get the point and the threads won't be bumped as much. My question has not been talked about before, it was an idea I was thinking about and wanted to see if it was possible. I was asking for someone to give out knowledge or just do a simple "wiki" search for me. I'm not lazy just needed a favor. Thanks man

I just noticed your location... kind of explains your attitude. In other parts of the English-speaking world, it is customary to say "thank you." Otherwise, you come off as a whiny princess, which no one appreciates. And an obviously sarcastic "thanks" doesn't count.

As for your question, I believe I answered it very concisely: No, the SRT-4 does not have a 2.4 liter version of the EVO/RA engine.

Is this in reference to the OP?

^I gotta' agree.
How serious is the inquiry? If it just for OP's amusment - why must we feel obligated to play?

Really. Go to a library and do the research on thier computers. Would you really go buy an SRT4 turbo if i said, 'yep! Fits like a champ and make moar powah!' Probably not. I hope not.

Do you have the 'someone selling one for like a hunnert dollahs and he be need an answer now' situation? Only that would (possibly) explain the cryptic (and whiny) cell phone post.

My $.02 worth.

I love the old-school 3KS (or whatever it's called), 3G and DSM type forums. Some of the people on those sites have the best information out there. There are other threads, like that, that I have come across over the years that explains some of these things. I should update my sticky in the General Section at some point to try and clear the air about most of the basic questions surrounding Mitsubishi turbochargers and what fits what.
