Turbosmart BOV

So i just picked up my 2011 Lancer Ralliart, and the dealer had installed a turbosmart dual port BOV when i got it. It recirculates and VTA, and is adjustable. My question is, i picked up the GST boost pill and am ready to tune it. I know enough from reading these forums that doing almost anything requires a tune. Would i need to adjust the BOV for the higher boost i will be running? Will it hurt to do trial and error with the adjustment of the BOV? Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

From memory, their website has good instructions on tuning it. The advice below I gave to lancer2008 for a different BoV, but same principals:

It should be closed at idle - vacuum alone should not allow it to open. Leave the return pipe off and view the piston in motion. Even a small rev to 3-4000rpm should not cause it to open, since there is no load and no boost. A rev to 6-7000rpm should cause it to open a little.

There should be a sweet spot for most adjustable BoVs. You want it somewhere between
1. a little flutter at very low boost levels
2. a proper blow-off at very low boost levels

try and get it as close to 2 as possible.

Flutter is okay, but the engine has trouble accounting for the missing air, since it went back towards the turbo instead of the intake side. Same problem if you vent to atmosphere.

Thank you very much! For #2 though... do you mean proper blow off at high boost levels??
