Do I need to tune?

I have a 2010 gsr x and have installed uicp, turbosmart bov, ets intake and in my garage I have upgraded fuel pump, and boost controller. After I install these parts and tune it..what is the approx gain I may have? I'm new to this stuff and got a baby on the way..so funds are kind of prioritized for now. Thanks for yall help guys

On my 2011 GSR, my first round of upgrades were: intake, catback, uicp, grimmspeed 3 port, and a fuel pump. With the opensource tune i got 288whp, 295wtq, and 28psi.

i think it all comes down to your tuner and how aggressive you're wanting to go. i could have gone over 300whp, but it would have put a strain on the injectors. since you're in NC, check out Spec Ops Motorsports. They are in Fayetteville, that's where i get all my work done and it's definitely worth the haul from SC for me, they do exceptional work!

no problem. and yeah you'll notice a significant difference...and unfortunately for your wallet, once you start you want more and more.

you don't necessarily need a tune after the TBE even though i would personally get one. the way i look at it, rather pay for the tune to make sure it runs without issues, than risk it and ruin something and pay more down the road.

You will, absolutely, need a tune after adding a downpipe/testpipe. The OEM cat is restrictive and freeing that flow path of the exhaust will likely cause you to overboost.

This^^

Plus, to get the most out of your new parts a tune is always a good idea
