I have the AMS intake, and overall it's a great product

Here's AMS's dyno numbers when they were R&D'ing the RA. Despite a lot of people saying intakes are a waste of time on the RA, AMS got some great numbers, as did I (279/290)

Imo, the AMS intake is the ONLY intake worth buying for the RA on stock turbo. Even then, it's still a little big. It's the same intake they use on the Evo X, which just emphasizes it's quality and performance capability. This intake absolutely swallows air - I had a few Evo X owners mention while looking at the Cobb AP data for the AMS intake, they could see the AMS just inhaled way more than the others.

Personally, the spool-up increased a ton, and kept spooling until the turbo itself tapers near red-line. I don't drive to redline everyday, so I really enjoyed it. And the sound is awesome, I'm really going to miss it.

I'm actually looking to sell my AMS Intake - I could use the funds for my turbo swap and other stuff - will probably come back to it down the line. If you're interested, feel free to pm me!

I'm very satisfied with it over the OEM intake. Its not to hard to install only pain was getting the factory clamp off the turbo ...they put the clamp at wierd up side down angle from the factory. I got a e-flash through ams and the car is much more impressive and fuel economy is alot better when cruising in town. Also the intake got a great sound to it. Will require small battery or battery relocation. Do recommend the boost pill with install of the intake.

the AMS intake will cost you a lot, getting a drop in filter would be better and much cheaper if your looking to do other mods. Our turbos dont need a better intake because the stock one is fine

i'm looking towards getting a harman motive intake, cheaper then AMS basically the same intake, few minor differences, but you can buy an intake box for the harman motive one so you can run an eve x intake scoop to it

+1 You know you can still use the intake with x turbo swap. The only difference between the ams ralliart and evo x intakes is the couplers that connect to the turbo.

Yeah I actually purchased the Evo X version of the intake heat shield with that intention. I think the fact that it's the same intake as the Evo just shows it's a no-compromise performance mod

I just want to experiment around with other brands and parts. Nothing wrong with the intake, just ETS got me a great deal on an Intercooler kit, and I want to test out the gains of a stock Evo X intake when I'm done building this new battery bracket for the RA owners. In no real rush to sell, but could use the money

With this intake and boost pill running stock turbo was logging with third gear and fourth gear pulls solid 23-24 psi at around 3400 tapering off to 18-17 psi at 6800. This also running ams uicp/licp evo x intercooler evo x bpv hks catback custom tuned be AMS... totally different car over stock. Love it.

You'll have to relocate your battery with that, which is one of the last reasons that made me decide to go with the AMS anyway - it just seems at some point you'll need the small battery for the extra room if you have any plans to make real power

and I don't think that's the "basically the same intake" - the AMS is freakin massive!

No, a small battery is not required for the UR SRI. However the general concensus is that a tune is required with the SRI.

Thank you. I'm outting in a UR SRI and UICP and cat back exhaust, as well as the evo x BOV. Figured I would need to get a tune, just need to find a shop in Indy to do it correctly.
