What mods to get? HFC & EvoX IC vs Aftermarket IC?

I just purchased a magnaflow cat-back and have a little budget leftover. The following two options will cost me the same amount...

Should I...
  1. Buy a used EvoX IC & New APT 3" Highflow Cat
  2. Buy a New APT IC (Example: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...tercooler.html http://depot)
(APT: http://www.deporacinggauges.com/APT-Products.html)

here's the question you should ask yourself the most. is your warranty more important?

I'm going to end up upgrading all of the IC and piping and full exhaust eventually anyway, just trying to determine the best bang for the buck right now... getting tuned in a few weeks.

i would atleast wait until your warranty was out. be warned. if anything goes wrong, you will have a fight of your life to convince mitsubishi that your part did not cause whatever problem you'll have. hope you dont have any issues, but be prepared. i know the "mod bug" is itching at you like a nasty mosquito bite but just relax and drive what you have. theres always time to do those upgrade later. or you can go and purchase the parts piece by piece and save them until you finally have it all and get it all installed all at once by a professional. im going to go that route. and i have thought about it very hard. trust me, i thought quitting smoking is hard enough. its even worse when you have this car that can go soo much faster and you have this "mod or else" notion behind you that just makes me go "what if". i hate what if's. but its your car, do what you will. i hope your car doesn't have anything serious happen. good luck

Thanks for the concern man. I appreciate your looking out. But, putting the warranty concerns aside I still need help making my decision between what to get this round.

BTW, already have the GST Basemap & K&N.

No where in his OP does he ask if this will void his warranty, so it's safe to assume that he is fully away of what he is doing. Coming on here and acting like his mother doesn't help him answer his question.

Back on topic, I would suggest a 3rd option, and go with ETS or CRBD as their parts are specific to our Ralliarts' mounts.

I would, but their stuff is so much more expensive, and while I have a lot of respect for CBRD (and will eventually go for the RAD Turbo) I just cant justify $700 for an IC when the APT one has given plenty of people great results. If money werent a factor I would def buy every bit of CBRD's stuff, better or not, just to support them cause I think they do a great job..... but money is.

Option 1. Unless upgrading turbo anytime soon, X IC is more than sufficient cooling and the stock cat is really restrictive so a high flow cat will net nice gains.

Well guys, went with option 1. It seems to make the most sense at this time, and if i start making a lot more power down the line, I can always sell the X IC I just bought and get a better one. Next to buy... cat.

Thanks for the opinions. I figured it's what I'd do, but it helped to have people confirm my choice as the better option.
