SST help

in my RA, my tranny slips in first gear when i take off and i know its not turbo lag b/c i could put it to 5k and it wont take off but it it'll catch 1st gear about like 7 or 8mph and it shifts like a manual and jerks my car in normal mode and it also will lock up the shifter after it gets warmed up and i just changed the fluid or does it take a few miles for the tranny fluid to go through the gears. any ideas on how fix this if it's need to be fixed or do i need a new one.

Transmission should not feel like that at all and no after trans fluid change it shouldn't be doing that either. Something is defenitly wrong and it needs to be looked at by a pro very soon. I wouldn't even be driving it for fear of more damage!

I had one car that I changed the ss-t fluid in and right afterward it started acting up similar to what you're describing. I actually believe something happened when disconnecting the battery that the car didn't like so I went in with the mitsu scan tool and reset all the learned values (not actual rom parameters, just adjustment values) and it cleared up.

I realize it's hard to say this is your specific issue without actually seeing the car, but just some input that may help

Not my personal car, a customer's car, but yes he is still running the same transmission today, thousands of miles later
