Exclamation 13k and Transmission Service Required?

I just got back from my week long honeymoon in Vegas. My car has been sitting in my driveway for a week. I go to start it up today and I get "transmission service required." I tried looking it up in the manual but it didn't explain anything. Is there anyway I can fix this without going to the dealer...otherwise I have to take a damn day off work and they Mitsubishi might charge me to fix it because they are bastards. I did turn the car off and on with no luck. I also drove it around for a little bit.

See attached picture:

Get the code checked to find what exactly is wrong. Otherwise, just throwing darts...

Maybe I should disconnect my battery for 20 minutes to reset everything?

I'd take off the under tray and see if there is any fluid leakage, if there is than take it to the dealer. If no fluid leakage, get it up to operating temperature and let it sit overnight. Start it up ugain in the morning and see if the light goes away. If it doesn't call the dealership. If they try to charge you, call Mitsubishi corporate.

Well, I believe we have covered this umpteen bajillion times, but here it goes:
1) Use EvoScan on you labtop with a Tactrix cable
2) Go to Pepboy's/Autozone/whatever and have them run it
3) Have a dealership check the code

On second thought #2 probably wont work, as they scan for ECU not TCU codes, IIRC.
ON EvoScan under 'Select DTC Method/ECU' select EVOX SST from the drop down menu. then click Display DTC. This will give you code, check what it means.

I would just go to advanced/auto zone get the code find out what it is have it cleared and if it's nothing serious drive around and see if it comes back on. Might have just threw it because weather conditions or what not trust me I throw codes sometimes when it's pouring out.

Will disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes clear the code?

Maybe depends some codes can't be cleared by just taking the battery out. It's worth a try tho. You have to dissconect the positive and negative for like 10 min max. If that dose not work just take it to advanced/autozone have them read and clear the code. Hope this helps.

I turned on the car last night and let it warm up. Turned it on this morning and I still have problems. I also disconnected the battery for 30 minutes and the problem still exists. Looks like I have to take a half day off work to fix this crap.

So? Use a mechanic shop near you. I mean really, ANY mechanic shop can do this.

Everything was closed because of the holiday weekend. I just took it to the dealer this morning. Waiting to hear back from them.
