When you say "booming", are you referring to the drone and resonance caused by the exhaust? I have the Borla system on mine and the only time I get bad drone is at about 2200-2500 RPMs at wide open, but not as bad with light acceleration.

It's the worst right around 2,800-3,000 rpm. Light throttle, no major complaints just normal exhaust tone. Moderate and full throttle at that RPM range is just a big booming sound; you can feel the pressure in your ears. Two shops said there's no exhaust leak and that it just looks like it's the characteristic of this particular exhaust. On my way back from the install, with the seats folded, the noise was unbearable.

Well why are your seats folded down? That's essentially turning your trunk into a giant ported speaker box for the drone lol.

The old exhaust wouldn't fit without folding the seats down. Obviously I drive with seats up.

Did you buy the Magnaflow BRAND SPANKING NEW from an authorized retailer, or was it "new" to you after buying it from a Joe Schmo?

Have you tried putting the stock catback on and seeing if it still does it?

Yup, brand new straight from Magnaflow's CA warehouse. I'm going to put on the stock catback on tomorrow so I'll report back.

Give it a week for the carbon to build up, usually quiets down a hair.
