Can't launch...
So I took my x swapped, cobb tuned ralliart to the track last night and was having some difficulties... I tried the tap method to raise the revs then launch, but every time I attempted this method I would immediately get a "transmission overheating" warning and the clutch would open until the revs dropped below a certain rpm. Still managed to pull off a 12.8 @ 110 even with a 2.0 60 ft on a soft launch by power braking... Which brings me to another point, no overheating when power braking. What gives? Lol. Unfortunately I forgot my ap, so no logs...
3k or less, definitely nothing crazy... I was allowing at least 20 mins between runs as well... No check engine lights either the entire time...

Your reving it to 3k while power braking or tapping or both? Ive had the same problem with the tapping method, but I thought it could have been done from my dumbass driving to the track through tech and straight into the staging lanes without any cool down.
I have this issue too with the tap method. Logging tells me that its not so much the temp in my case, but rather too much tq that makes the clutches open. I've seen higher temps and no issue, but when launching it freaks out even at lower temps.
Eh, I'm kinda thinking torque as well, but couldn't/shouldn't that theoretically be tuned to suit in the torque limit tables? And that was 3k with the tap method, power braking seems fine, but I was only getting to about 2000ish rpm so as not to push it too far, the transmission overheat spooked me...
Torque and temps work against you in unison. The overheat warning is just that, however, and if you were to find a way to lower the temps you should be able to overcome your hangup. A larger cooler is always an option, but for much less money and effort, you can try at least installing a fan to the back of your cooler to generate some sort of airflow while the car is stationary. That's all I've done so far and have had pretty decent luck with that to-date (knock on wood)
