AEM Intake Actual Gains?

Once tuned, did anyone gain from the AEM intake? I'm contemplating whether it's worth getting an intake or not.

An intake will make your car sound cool ( Turbo spool, BOV) but power gains will prolly be about 5whp...

Thanks for the tip I figured it was the case. Since the AEM is a closed box type, I don't think you'd even gain the 'sound' bonus either.

AEM provides a Dyno chart on their website for the gains you "should" see. I use the AEM intake on the stock tune with a wideband and I can't complain.

+16.8HP @ 6050rpm
+23.07LB/FT @3500rpm

That is gains from stock tune however. I HIGHLY doubt you will see that from a tuned car.

Agreed, I don't think tuned it would do much. Only a MUCH larger turbo would require more air. An RA turbo, or CBRD Rad Lite or stock X turbo probably won't see much gain aside from 3-5whp. Not really worth it for me at this point monetarily. Eventually though.

I would be pretty surprised to see gains even remotely close to those numbers.

If you look at this dyno, it not a stock ralliart. It is making as much power as the evo with the aem intake. So dont go off of what the dyno says!
