SST Cooler?

For a car that probably will never hit the track, is it worth upgrading the SST Cooler?

If it overheats you simply get a "Drive Slower" msg and at that point you would know if you really need the upgrade or not?

I would say it's a worthwhile upgrade even if you're DD'ing it. Always a good thing to keep the SST temps in check no matter the driving conditions.

Now if you're DD'ing do you need a full blown out race cooler? Probably not, but some kind of upgrade will always help extend the life of your precious 10 thousand dollar transmission and the highly expensive fluid in it.

I'd recommend installing a temp-sensor-controlled fan on it. Mine switches on at 65C (at the cooler), and in summer it is often running. Any time the ambient temp is over 35C, I can expect it to run - after a 30 minute drive, it'll start coming on each time I stop. It simply makes sure the air cooler keeps on working efficiently, even when not moving at highway speeds.

jegs... and pretty much.. there's some wiring you need to do to make it work, and then there's some adjustments you'll need to do to make it kick on when you want it to

I've did it just for peace of mind but also because I upgraded to a evo x turbo haha but
I've installed a cxr racing 25 row trans cooler on my RA. I've even removed the fog lights just so more air would hit it! My RA is also a DD with a few sprinted driving once while!
Shifts got really smooth after doing the upgrade.
