benefits of swapping are debateable on the stock turbo
There's also a bottleneck "notch" in the RA plastic LICP that isn't present in the X LICP. Smooths airflow a bit and reduces turbulence, but again, debatable with the OEM RA turbo.

ok everyone has to always give flack for something hahaha

If you look closely it says Ralliart on my Intercooler! yes i did paint it! only 1 coat.

Now people are bitcjing at me saying that i shouldn't have that I should ahve used special paint cause it will stop the cooling process.

I would agree if the entire thing was covered!!
Plus it is just the front it does not go all the way through the intercooler. and it is not a big area!!

are tehy right? Am i wrong?

that "notch" doesn't really matter if the turbo can't maintain pressure throughout the entire RPM range. I said debatable on the ~stock turbo~, which starts running out of breath around 4500RPM. is it ideal to have that pinch point? no. But on the stock turbo it doesn't really affect much.

If you have concrete plans on upgrading the turbo to RAD or bigger, then 100% upgrade the LICP.

If you're sticking with the stock turbo, don't bother.

ok well been a few days since I put in the intercooler.
At first it felt like it was acting weird. shifting oddly and reeving oddly.

I was told that it would take a bit of time for the fuel trims to balance out again. get used to more air flow.

Well last night took it for a swing cause I felt on the drive home was odd. Got my buddy to come with me and she has been working amazingly!!

I'm guessing that that was the case?
My buddy thinks I may have a boost leak. was gonna test that soon anyway. probably do it sooner
