Is this normal or? I don't remember this sound coming from the dealership but I just took notice of it now.


Update: I've been told it was the transmission... Can anyone confirm this?

 

yes.... it's the same sound as in all the other videos in the weird sounds thread. It's actually the clutch pack, not any of the gears or syncros within the transmission.

 

People need to freaking search. This comes up EVERY couple months.

Stop being idiots and do your home work.

 

I dunno about that. I'll admit that it comes up a bit but as far as im aware it doesn't stick out in a thread for ralliart wierd noises where people can easily read up and compare their issue.

It should really be added to this https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...ds-thread.html and maybe people would be comfortable with the noise. I mean the diesel sound of the engine when it idles freaks people but again I can see why a people would post every so often without some sort of reference to it. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

not to mention it IS already a sticky thread right next to the "useful links" thread. the fact that a new threads start clearly indicates that research isn't even attempted.

 

My Ralliart does this also, perfectly normal.

Normal clutch packs put it in drive and watch the noise go away. I have 97k on my car still runs perfect even with this annoying idle noise
