Hi all,

My RA has just past the 5,000km mark and I am thinking about when I should be proactively changing the SST fluid and filter for the first time.

From what I have read, I was thinking about doing it between the 8-10,000km mark.

Any thoughts or observations?

 

I'm at 24k and haven't changed mine yet. Diff and ACD was changed at 15k but not doing the SST until 30. I think the prescribed interval on the SST is 60k or something on the new ones. I'm just cutting all the big maintenance in half to preserve the car.

 

I believe the agreed number on this forum is around 18-20k miles

 

I just changed all the fluids in my EVO X first time @ 58k miles.
The sst filter wasn't bad as per the mechanic.

 

Book says 60K so that's when I'll do it. 34K on mine and zero issues with my SST so far.. Did the transfer and rear diff at 30K and oil changes at 5k. I don't race or drive it hard all that often though. so far all is well..

 

I changed mine at 16 (kms) and if I had to do it over again, I would have waited longer. The fluid looked fine and the filter was not grunged up in any way.

Just did mine for the first time at 40k miles.
The old fluid was dark gold. The filter was black but not horrible.
