Ralliart cold air intake Beta testers needed
Ralliart cold air intake Beta testers needed
So this has been a long time in the process but it is getting close to production of a large amount of units. Between buying the equipment, pipe benders and paying welders it was not an easy task to do on ones own. If all goes well the Cold Air systems as well as upper and lower hard pipes will go in to full production this spring.
The title says it all. I am looking for beta testers for a cold air intake that I have developed just for the Ralliart. Please keep in mind this does require you move the stock battery to the trunk or use a small battery kit.
Due to the proprietary design of this and the fact I do not have a patent at the moment I am limiting this to local people only in the state of Maryland with a Ralliart.
There will be 2 versions to test. I need a couple people who know people or have connections with those who have a dyno to place this on their car and test them.
What do you get from the deal you ask ?
A very nice all aluminum intake for free in exchange for me getting to see the dyno results. The one condition is that I get to be there while the car is being tested on the dyno. I will drive to you, install it for free and you get to keep it just for me being able to test it.
I have two people I know with dynos but they will charge me 90 bucks at the lowest rate to test it. Because of all the equipment I had to buy to correctly do this myself I am trying to avoid any more cost.
I will provide all parts, new Maff sensor, filter, connections, pipes etc etc. I just need a way to get this tested on a dyno.
Just remember I must be there on site and I will install it.
Please PM me if you are in the Maryland area or no more than an hour from Annapolis area.
You may contact me via phone as that is what I prefer instead of a PM.

Remember I am only looking for about 3 people. So first come first serve
Oh and the cost of the Cold air system when it goes in to production is 250.00 Shipped anywhere in the United States

I'm in Norfolk, VA and about to do a battery relocate kit soon.
Got any pics of this piece?
I'm also tuned for my AEM intake/turbo back/etc so I don't know if you're looking for RA's on stock tune for testing.

In my original post I had said there was two variants. There is actually three. One is front left bumper almost too fog light. Second is directly behind factory air inlet . Third is short ram set up with a special configuration SRI that uses factory air channel with filter inside it to shield from heat and provide optimal flow ratio.

Still working on testing. One of the issues was how it will perform with hot weather outside. Sure great numbers are gained in cold weather but the concern is how it will act when it's 95 degrees outside. Tried using hot air blowers but that is not accurate enough. The point of the cold air intake was to keep temps down lower than the stock air box. At the current moment the temps for the intake vs the air box actually remain almost the same.
As far as flow goes the setup that works the best so far for flow rate is that which is located towards the front bumper or using the stock air inlet with a modified filter and aluminum tube. From everything seen so far to see any kinds of gains the battery has to be relocated or a small battery kit must be used. SRI setups really do not do much in terms of flow and performance since it is located just a few inches from the turbo. Hopefully when the warm weather comes my brother who is doing the testing can give me a closer date as to when he thinks I can send them off for people to try. I already have the people picked out that I will be sending them too. Ill make sure I have them post up all the info when that day comes or when they go to the dyno
