Vibration and slipping transmission

I have a 2012 Ralliart with the newest version of the GST stage 1 tune. I am getting vibration under full throttle in all gears and the transmission i would say slip shifts. it doesn't slip once it is in gear but it slips into gear. I have had 2 sets of tires
(the original factory and winter tires and it happens on both. This car only has 16,000 on it and I have read that it should just pull smooth with no vibration and shift as normal. I rarely get on this car as it is my wife's daily driver, just like to have fun sometimes. I hope someone can help.

Do you drive it in sports mode or auto-normal? I found the gst map makes it feel "manual like" as far as shifting gears as it smashes it as opposed to the slop the stock tune presents? I get some shaking when the car is cold but after a good 5 minutes worth of driving everything is fine again it just hates cold starts because the trans temp needs to be raised to optimal temperature to shift properly(usually that's a good 20 minutes to reach the desired heat). I'm getting vibration at the moment when I get above 95km/h but I'm sure its related to my brakes/wheel alignment but I'll post back the results once I've fixed that issue. If your getting it at low speeds whilst in gear(3000-6000rpm) then I would get your wheel alignment checked and have a thorough check over your drivetrain at the front just to be certain. How do you define slip... as in it slots in and you feel feedback or you loose throttle control?

I really only notice the slipping in normal mode full throttle, the slipping just feels like the clutches are not engaging hard or fast enough, if i put it in sport mode that it doesn't do it nearly as bad almost non noticeable. So it engages just not as fast as it does if i was just driving normally. The alignment may be the issue with the vibration, it might also be a wheel bearing as when i hit about 70mph and also when I am turning around at slower speeds i get a howling from the passenger side front tire. Hopefully this weekend i will get the transmission oil changed and see if that will make a difference. Thank you for the reply's, i had almost giving up on this post.

Convert everything back to stock and take it to the dealer. They should cover it no matter what it is. It's possible that something broke inside the transmission like a bearing or a clutch pack. Have you checked the transmission oil yet to see if there is any shinny stuff in it?

I respectfully disagree with this recommendation. Stay away from the dealerships at all costs. If anything, do what I did and leave the GST basemap on there and then take it to a good tuner to get it dyno-tuned using the GST basemap as a starting point. I had some of the same symptoms as you did, but after being tuned by CBRD using the GST basemap as a starting platform everything started working perfectly.

I will be changing the transmission oil this weekend, the only issue is I have seen many people say on the first change there will be some metal shavings from break in. I had my suspicions that it might be the GST tune, I think I did see some other people talking about that.

Be sure to drain the tranny cooler while you are at it. As well, changing the filter is also highly recommended.

Even on stock tune I had a few pieces of the clutch pack the size of a grain of sand. If you see pieces bigger then that you'll defiantly want to have it looked at.
