Turbo back exhaust and Cobb Stage 2
Turbo back exhaust and Cobb Stage 2
This week I finally replaced the stock downpipe and cat on my Ralliart (thanks to Vex Performance in Calgary!) to upgrade my Magnaflow catback to a full turboback exhaust.
I used the CP-E downpipe (awesome part, which hugely reduced the drone in the cabin) and Turbo XS HFC (I am very impressed with the build quality on this one - similarly to Cobb they've actually bothered to bend the thing rather than just slapping a cat in the middle of a straight pipe like a lot of other companies; the price I got it for was very good as well). Naturally, both parts are way lighter than the stock ones.
I've been driving with this setup and Cobb Stage 2 93 v200 for about five days now and the exhaust is starting to settle in and quiet down. Overall it's not too loud, though it has quite a punch when the RPMs go over 3000. The bump in performance is very noticeable - combined with my Evo X IC/UR UICP/LICP setup the car has become way more responsive and pulls much better at the high elevation in Calgary. Power delivery feels smoother as well.
I won't go to the dyno until the spring when I change back to my summer wheels and tires, so I'll post some numbers then.
