Studder at low rpm
Studder at low rpm
My ralliart has been stuttering in first gear (only seems to be in first) if I go more than 50% WOT.
Over the winter I hit a patch of ice and put it over a concrete berm, which in turn snapped the control arm, broke the rim, and bent the driveshaft. The ECU completely locked everything down as soon as this happened.
When I got the car back from the body shop, I noticed it running pretty rich and the studdering problem developed.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? I've seen a few posts about the vacuum line popping off (mine is on), and I'm going to check (finally) the boost lines for leaks this weekend.

If you have a tactrix cable and evoscan, check your logs for spikes in boost. I have been using a E-tuner to get rid of my "studder" and its doing great now. Your AFR may be lean with the intake, who did your tune?
I haven't had it tuned since I bought it (shame on me).. I thought it was running OK before but I definitely could tell a difference as soon as I got it back from the body shop..
I would highly suggest Michael from GoldenEvo. He understands the SST transmission and is very reputable. You will need to buy a tactrix cable and evoscan software (About $120 for used cable and $25 for software)
