Cobb EBCS Issue

Hey Guys-

So the story is my car has neverreally ran the best. I always assumed that maybe the weather wasaffecting my cars performance. At one point I noticed via the Cobb APthat I was not making full boost. According to the Stage 3tuning notes from Cobb I should have been making Peak 21.5 PSI thentapering done to 17 Psi. Now I didn't really know what the issuewas. I assumed it was the tune.

So eventually installed anactual Boost gauge and A/F ratio gauge. It still seem to be peakingat 19-20 Psi. The car felt sluggish and it just wasn't spooling asquick anymore. So tonight I decided to try finding some sort ofboost leak. Well I found within a few minutes of looking. It was thePort 3 of the vacuum line on the EBCS.

It was cut pretty cleanly, somaybe I have snagged it by accident. Who knows. My concern is howdoes this directly affect the turbo? Any feed back would be great.

Depending on which line that is would effect it differently. Replace that line and you should be good to go

Thanks, I had enough slack to cut the rest off and reconnect. I took it out and it seemed to be back to normal. FYI this cable connected to the elbow of the turbo.

I have been looking into it and perhaps looking at moving in the direction. What stinks is that it has 146,000 miles and is my daily driver. Once I pay it off that might be the direction I will take. Hopefully Chet is still doing E-Tunes by then.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Wasatch Turbo Factory is who is e-tuning my car. Aside from Kozmic I'd say they're probably the best in the states for the SST

Is it running better after you replaced the vac line? How are your afr's looking with the cobb? I just would recommend with running the cobb, don't go heavy into the throttle and back off immediately. Puts a lot of stress on the clutch packs and acd (even tho you're not putting down enough power to thrash your acd)
