Accessport and restrictor pill

Ok im defintely set on getting the AP but i wanted to ask a few questions before I make the 700 investment. Ive read alot on here about this restrictor pill in the vacuum line near the turbo. Some people replace it others do not, is this sent with the AP or something that i have to call them about?(I do not have any form of boost control on my evo right now or wideband) Also does the AP show boost in some form or do i need to get a gauge? Thanks in advance.

You're goin to need a boost gauge. You have to remove the second restrictor pill in order for the AP to correctly set boost. Now if your having issues with controlling boost after that, contact cobb and they'll send you a new hose with the correct pill.

if i have stated anything incorrectly, someone feel free to correct me.

Definitely if you want to read out your boost you'll have to get a boost gauge as the AP won't have that parameter.

If I was you I would call COBB the day you order...tell them where you are in the states and have them ship out a new Boost Hose Line specifically for your state and elevation.

Don't waste your time buying the ap and going thru the hassle of realizing the boost isn't right and call cobb afterwards...just get it done up front then you won't be another guy iritated that his boost isn't hitting the right levels
