Hello, I just purchased a 2012 ralliart and it is loud, there a custom 3” downpipe and exhaust and it’s make a lot of noise. I can’t really go back to the oem exhaust because it’s $$$$$,

if I go back to the stock downpipe, will this help with the loud exhaust?

 

Not really, honestly.. If you're willing, hack up the current exhaust and have a resonator welded in.

 

thanks for the reply. Do you know if an exhaust shop can do this? I honestly just want the loud noise to be gone or a lot less.

if I do anything to the exhaust , would I need to “tune” the car?

Post a pic of what you have and then see what suggestions you get.

 

downpipe won't help much at all. Get a different cat (especially if there is no cat, put in some hi flo one etc), add a resonator and put on a different muffler. all those will limit noise, however each will also reduce your power output.
