I've found that 3m General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner works the best, can says specifically it won't hurt your paint... so 3m and some fishing line.. plus soap and water before and after.

Let me google that for you...

I've used floss, it has that wax coating that wont scratch your paint. fishing line can cause fine scratches.

Floss works really well, it's just it's hard to get it to stay together very long, so you just have to keep pulling out a new piece. And then to remove remaining adhesive, use 3M adhesive remover and goo gone, then wash and wax.

Thin fishing line is the best, but floss will work if you do not have the fishing line.

I've tried before with and without heating up the adhesive first, and you seem to have less adhesive left over on the car normally if you do it without heat I've found.

Here is a decent DIY Youtube video on how to debage your car. 3 part video.

You may want to use floss like the other guys suggested instead of fishing line.

Then wax and polish after you clean out the sticky mess.

How do you remove the logo from the front of the car? I wanted to paint it black, then put it back on. I tried vinyl, but it just doesn't look as nice.

I just went the floss route and it worked like a champ. The remaining goop I was able to remove with my fingernails and wipe away.
