Engine Cover Color

So has anyone panted the engin cover. what did you use. spray Paint or rugular acrylic paint.

I am thinking about painting mine so it will match some of the hoses and stuff i get in there.

You can probably get away with regular paint, but to be safe engine paint would be best.

I would go with a high heat paint, like the stuff they make for headers and exhaust. Granted its not absolutely necessary, but probably will make paint last alot longer.

it is not necessary .. but i would go for "high heat" since theyre the same price anyway

I used regular spray paint. But now I'm ditching the cover and getting a powder coated VC. should be in friday.

I painted mine with plastic primer then regular spray paint. The engine cover doesn't get hot. Had mine painted now for about 6 months and the colour still looks as good as the day I did it.
